Tightening top nuts, which secure shock absorbers to top mounts, without applying proper torque, using impact wrench or by hand, would damage inner parts, possibly causing abnormal noises or piston rod breakage. It is necessary to use torque wrench to tighten top nuts properly at the specified torque, while keeping piston rods in place to avoid corotating. TEIN TOP NUT TOOL is specially designed to tighten top nuts precisely with torque wrench, while holding piston rods (TEIN only) to prevent from corotating.
