| NOTICE for Installation on ACCORD Euro R (CL7) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
SUPER STREET Damper for Accord Euro R(CL7) has been available and popular for some time, but now it's redesigned to be compatible with vehicles equipped with auto headlight leveler. (both kits with or without upper mount)
Auto headlight leveler automatically adjust the axis of headlight up and down, as sensors attached to suspensions detect the change in ride height due to increase and / or decrease in passengers and luggage. The new regulations (in Japan) come into effect in January 2006 requiring all discharge headlights to be equipped with auto leveling feature. To conform to this law, auto headlight leveler for Accord Euro R (CL7) has is changed from optional to standard.
Sensors for Accord Euro R's(CL7) auto headlight leveler are attached to the front left sub frame and underneath rear floor. Front left sensor is connected to the front left shockabsorber through positioning bracket to detect ride height change. To make SUPER STREET damper compatible with the auto headlight leveling system, the positioning bracket needs to be removed from OE front shock absorber and re-mounted to the SUPER STREET damper.
This does not apply to rear shock absorbers, which do not have positioning brackets.
The MONO FLEX and COMFORT SPORT, released in May 2006, are designed to be compatible with the auto headlight leveling function, thus OE positioning bracket on front shock absorbers need to be removed and reused for installation regardless of auto leveler availability. The TYPE FLEX requires the use of OE brackets, if the vehicle is equipped with auto headlight leveler; however the bracket is unnecessary if the vehicle does not have the auto leveler feature.
* When installing TYPE FLEX onto vehicle with auto headlight leveler, standard ride height can be achieved by setting the shock absorber 17mm (height of bracket) shorter. |
