Removal Location for EDFC Accessory Power Switch
Recently vehicles are equipped with many electronic devices, (Photo 11) including car audio, car navigation, ETC, gauges and other various tuning parts. TEIN’s EDFC is an electronic damping force adjustable device and needs the appropriate electronic wiring as other items such as the car audio.
Recently there have been errors as a result of the voltage dropping because the EDFC accessory power switch was placed in a bad position. The main cause has been because the EDFC wiring has been placed in the same place as of accessory power switches from other electronic devices. If the power is being supplied from the same place as other electronic devices, then the one split moment where one of those other devices consume more power, the voltage level will drop in the EDFC, causing to send out an error signal.
To solve this problem, please set the wiring for the EDFC accessory power so it does not extract power from the same point as another electronic device. It is desirable to independently extract power from the cigarette lighter socket or if that is not possible, from a point that consumes little power and is not shared with any other electronic device. If this is done there should not be any error signals, due to the voltage dropping, from the main power switch or illumination power switch. (Photo 12, 13)
