High Performance Shock Absorber for Cross country All-Wheel Drive Vehicles
Concept
Long distance tests were conducted repeatedly in scorching deserts to develop the 4×4 DAMPER. The high performance and durable shock absorber is built for rally raid and designed to cut through the desert at high speeds.
With a mono tube construction, it is equipped with a separate reservoir tank for a larger oil capacity and improved radiation efficiency. The T.C.V. (Temperature Compensating Valve) is the latest added feature, which has been handed down from the world class rally shock absorber, the TYPE Gr.N. The T.C.V. compensates for the decline in damping force, caused by the increasing oil temperature, to provide continuous damping force for long periods of time.

The latest technology from the TYPE Gr.N, which has laid its mark in rally events throughout the world, has been used in this full-blown rally raid shock absorber.
■T.C.V. compensates for the decline in damping force, caused by the increasing oil temperature, to provide continuous linear damping force.
■Mono tube construction & separate reservoir tank for improved radiation efficiency and stability.
■EDFC compatible, for easy in-car damping force adjustment.
 
Specifications
A) Separate Compression and Rebound 16-level Damping Force Adjustment Feature
16-level damping force adjustment feature, for both compression/rebound, is adopted to give immediate adaptability to the ever changing road conditions.
With a total of 2 EDFC kits, one kit each for compression and rebound, you can easily adjust the damping force with a touch of a button from the driver's seat.

Exclusive springs for the 4×4 DAMPER need to be purchased separately.
*For vehicles where OE springs can be used, it is not necessary to purchase separate springs.
D) Threading Type Ride Height Adjustment System
(available only for some vehicle models)
Threading type system enables adjustments to be made by millimeter increments.
E) Mono Tube Construction
Mono tube construction for improved radiation efficiency and stable damping force.
F) Temperature Compensating Valve(T.C.V.)
T.C.V. compensates for the decline in damping force, caused by the increasing oil temperature, to provide continuous linear damping force.
G) Steel Shell Case Construction
High level of rigidity is assured with the steel shell case construction.
H) Separate Reservoir Tank
Separate reservoir tanks are attached to provide larger oil capacity.
Furthermore, aluminum is used in the tank component for increased radiation efficiency.
