Round 2 of the 2010 Super Taikyu Series was held at Sports Land Sugo. The qualifying sessions turned out to be a hard battle in ST3 class. The #27 BMW M3 which finished in 2^nd place last round managed to set a great time to grab top position. TEIN users monopolized the top four positions as 2^nd position went to #39 NSX followed by #51 Fairlady Z and #15 RX-7.

 

The #27 BMW M3 took control of the race from the start in ST3 class until the 14^th lap when mechanical trouble forced the car off the course. Bad luck followed as the tow truck which came to assist got stuck and was unavailable to get out. After 5 laps passed, the car was finally able to get back but the damage was done and the time lost was just too much. #39 NSX was handed the top position and drove hard until the 87^th lap when mechanical trouble forced the car to retire from the race. In ST4 class #12 Civic, which qualified in 4^th position, drove consistently throughout the race to take the checkered flag in 2^nd position. Matsui, the Civic Inter Series champion, was very pleased to finish on the podium after just only competing in his second Super Taikyu race.
