Production Car World Rally Championship
Rd.6 ADAC Rallye Deutschland
3rd Place Finish in Tarmac Rally!

Round 6 of the Production Car World Rally Championship, “ADAC Rallye Deutschland”, was held from 20th to 22nd August around Trier, in South West Germany. This was the first out of two tarmac events for this season and an exciting battle was expected to unfold as P.Flodin and the Uspenskiy Rally Tecnica team is right on the heels of A.Araujo in the drivers standing.

Day1 started off well for P.Flodin as he was finishing consistently in the top 3 for most of the stages. Though he was troubled with some overheating problem, he managed to finish 3rd overall. Unfortunately, the problem continued to linger into Day2 and Day 3. Furthermore, he suffered engine problems during SS14 and during the last two stages, SS18 and SS19 he had to drive with a damaged gear shift lever. Nonetheless, he managed to come back in one piece to finish on the podium in 3rd overall position.

With only 3 rallies remaining in the season, A.Araujo remains on top of the drivers standing with 83 points and P.Flodin in 2nd position with 65 points. With only 18 points separating the two and with both drivers planning to skip one round, this only gives P.Flodin 2 critical rounds to take the championship. Look forward to more exciting action from all TEIN users as the P-WRC now moves to Round 7, “Rally Japan”!
