Indian National Rally Championship Rd.1 Rally Maharasthra

2 Podium Positions for Debut Rally!

From the 2010 Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) season TEIN and Red Rooster Racing, India’s leading professional motorsport team, will go head to head in 7 exciting rounds held throughout India.
Red Rooster Racing has a strong track record in the series, taking the championship in 2008 and runners-up in 2009. They now have their sights on taking the 2010 championship with 3 cars running on TEIN Type Gr.N dampers.

The 1st round was held from June 25th to 27th in Nashik, covering a total distance of 564km and hopes were high for drivers V.Mathias, A.Gosh and N.Kumar taking part in the tarmac rally. The hot action started straight from Day1 as V.Mathias had a brilliant day, after a slow start, and finished 2nd overall just 33seconds behind the leader. A.Gosh followed closely to finish the day in 4th position. Unfortunately N.Kumar, who set the fastest time in SS4, developed gearbox problems during stage 6 dropping him down the order.

The battle continued on Day2 as V.Mathias pushed to the limits to catch the top running car. However he also was troubled with gearbox problems, but luckily overcame them to keep his position and finish the rally on the podium in 2nd overall position. A.Gosh drove hard moving up the order to take the last podium position, finishing 3rd overall, giving Red Rooster Racing and TEIN two podium positions!

The team will waste no time to prepare their cars for the next round, “Rally De Coimbatore” held from 6th to 8th August. Stay tuned for more exciting action from Red Rooster Racing and Type Gr.N in the INRC!
