From April 11^th to 12^th, Rd.1 of 2009 JRC "Tour de Kyushu in Karatsu" was held in Karatsu, Saga. Good track condition under blue skies, TEIN users show their excellence by flying through total of 59.42km full of tarmac action.

 

Ishida in JN4 class drove CT9A LANCER EVOLUTION IX until last year, but switches to CZ4A LANCER EVOLUTION X this season, equipped with the all-mighty SUPER RACING damper.

 

Ishida joins the leading group from the start, and sets fastest time in SS5 with his new setup, showing his great amount of experience at same time. He kept his good pace and finished 3^rd, with high hopes on his new vehicle.

 

In JN2 class, Shinkai uses TYPE-HT damper with some extra tweaking done during off-season. To overcome last year's unfortunate outcome, he pushes hard from the beginning to join with the upper class JN4 vehicles. He sets fastest time in 6 out of 8 SS and takes class victory. He also rose above everyone in 2WD bracket with exceptional 7^th place overall finish, and after 3 years from his first JRC challenge, he finally takes his first class win.

 

Rd.2, "KYOTO Nantan Rally 2009" will be held on May 8^th to 10^th in Kyoto. Expect more great action from TEIN users in upcoming round!
