With just 2 rounds remaining in the 2009 China Touring Car Championship, 1 point separated the TEIN supported team, currently in 3^rd overall place. In the drivers ranking, FRD's car No.11 He Xiao Le in the Ford Focus stood a mere 5 points behind the leader in 2^nd overall place.

 

In the qualifying round, FRD car No.11 set the pace to grab pole position. The FRD team took 1^st, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th positions, giving them all a good chance to win the race.

 

At the start of the race, car No.11 was unfortunately overtaken by the KIA team but drove hard to keep 2^nd place. Car No.10 was able to take advantage of the start to move up 1 position to 4^th place. On the 3^rd lap a minor problem forced car No.11 to make an unexpected pit stop. By the time he made it back on to the course, there was already a large gap built up from the pack. Car No.10 made its attack on the 2 KIA's in front and was able to overtake them and take the top position! By this time, car No.12 had moved up to 5^th place and No.15 in 6^th.

 

The 4^th placed car No.1 fought hard with car No.12 but unfortunately on the final corner, they came in contact and drove off course. Car No.12 managed to get back on the course but only to find his car damaged and headed straight for the pits. The top running car No.10 drove hard until the end to finish the race in 1^st overall place. The 2 KIA's followed in 2^nd and 3^rd place and car No.15 in 4^th overall place.

 

At the end of the day, the FRD team took back 1^st place in the team standings! As everyone now heads to the final round of the 2009 season, look out for more exciting action!
