China Rally Championship Rd.4 Longyou in Zhejiang
Unfortunate end for D.Higgins
The 4th round of the China Rally Championship was held in the same venue as last year, Longyou. This years round was also included in the APRC and TEIN supported the Wan Yu team with D.Higgins at the helm and also the KST team with the number 1 Chinese driver, Liu Cao Dong.

Longyou is a very difficult narrow course made up of rough terrain and many corners and day 1 saw the retirement of 15 cars from class N4, including numerous APRC entrants. D.Higgins drove a steady and strong day 1 and finished 2nd overall, 1st in CRC.

Day 2 started off well for D.Higgins until an accident occurred during the 3rd service of the day. An engine stall during the stage forced D.Higgins to push his car back to time control. Fortunately the engine started back up in the service and D.Higgins was able to get back in the race. He fought hard to make up for lost time and kept pushing until the end to finish 2nd overall and 1st in CRC!

But at the end of the day, D.Higgins was unfortunately penalized for the incident at the 3rd service on day 2, and later disqualified from the rally.

The next round will be the final round of the season held between 19th to 21st December.
