The 4th round of the 2008 British Rally Championship (BRC) - Ulster Rally International – was held in Northern Ireland. At the end of the 3 round, D. Higgins stood in 1st position in the championship. But can he protect his lead!?
For this round, the TYPE Gr.N equipped D. Higgins took part in the rally with new tarmac settings found during the pre-rally tests. Unfortunately during day 1, he had difficulty finding the right anti-lag settings and lost time during all corners. As a result, the difference between the leaders widened…
TEIN engineers adjusted the spring settings to suit the road conditions for day 1 and D. Higgins finished in 8th position. During the afternoon of day 2, heavy rain fell, which saw many cars crash and retire from the rally. TEIN engineers found the perfect settings for D. Higgins to drive consistently but bad luck struck... as he suffered from electrical problems. He lost more time due to this, but with his persistent drive, he managed to finish in a respectful 5th position. The result was enough for D. Higgins/ I. Thomas pair to keep their overall 1st position in the British Rally Championship!!
TYPE Gr.N equipped privateers, H. Evans/ I.Williams pair finished in 17th position.
The next round of the British Rally Championship (BRC) will be a gravel rally held in Yorkshire, located in northern England. We are looking forward to the performance of the TYPE Gr.N and D. Higgins in the gravel rally, his specialty. |
