The 3^rd round of the 2008 British Rally Championships, "Rally Isle of Man", famous for its TT race, was held on the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man is D.Higgins’ home town and everyone was expecting him, and the performance of the TEIN TYPE Gr.N, to have a great rally, as he is very familiar with the course. After 2 rounds of the BRC completed, D.Higgins leads the driver's championships, but can he remain on top?

 

The weather conditions were unstable and it rained on and off, making the tire choice very difficult for the teams. The course was rough and very bumpy, making it a strenuous 3days for the drivers. A lot of time was spent setting up D.Higgins’ TYPE Gr.N equipped Impreza GRB.

From day 1, all the vehicles settings were made at the service areas before each stage. On day 2, second placed G.Wilks had suspension trouble and fell down the order. S.Jones had to retire due to mechanical trouble, leaving the door wide open for D.Higgins to jump up to 2^nd place! On day 3, everything looked as if the rally was going to finish in the current order, but G.Wilks fought hard to battle back, leaving D.Higgins to finish the rally in 3^rd place. The D.Higgins and I.Thomas pair have continuously performed well, as with their TYPE Gr.N, from round 1 and they are still in control of the BRC, and maintain their 1^st overall position!

 

Privateers H.Evans and I.Williams, also equipped with TEIN TYPE Gr.N, finished in 10^th position. The 4^th round of the British Rally Championship (BRC) will be a tarmac rally held in Northern Ireland. Based on the set up data gained from this round, we expect the TYPE Gr.N to perform well and the team to have further success in the next round!
