5 Machines Supported by TEIN Entered in This Traditional Rally!
L. Kuzaj Ended Up Retiring, but S. Frycz made 6th place
|
3rd round of PRC 2007 (Poland Rally Championship) called "Rally Poland" was held from June 8-10th in northeastern Poland. Mikolajki is the most popular resort area in Poland with beautiful lakes. 13 SS stages were designed around such lakes for 279.66km all having high-speeding corners with hard gravel surfaces.
This traditional rally counts up to 64 rounds, and since this season was an important round to WRC, the entry counted up to 81 machines. 5 of them were TEIN supported machines: L. Kuzaj (SUBARU IMPREZA GDB-F) who is a famous driver also competing in P-WRC (Production car World Rally Championship), S. Frycz (SUBARU IMPREZA GDB-F), M. Oleksowicz (SUBARU IMPREZA GDB-F), S. Ruta (SUBARU IMPREZA GDB-F) and competitive driver from PRC '96-'97 and M. Truskiy (SUBARU IMPREZA GDB-F) challenged this event.
The champion, Kuzaj; however, went off the course in SS2 and retired. Oleksowicz, Ruta, Truskiy also suffered from flat tires and mechanical troubles. Frycz was the best out of TEIN supported drivers finishing in 6th place. |

"At first, we were going to try a new damper for his machine from P-WRC, but since the machine was wrecked we set up for the model used in the opening and second round of PRC. Due to high-speed zones, we focused on stability on gravel surface. We had difficulty adjusting at first because the road conditions during the race were far from that of test, but each driver had good feelings about the suspension settings. In the next round, we look forward to set up the new damper, which we couldn't use this time." |
