2 Imprezas Supported by TEIN
Fought Hard in Nurburgring 24-Hour Race

The 35th ADAC Zurich 24h Race, commonly known as Nurburgring 24-Hour Race, took place from June 8th - 10th, 2007 in Middle Western Germany. Needless to say, it is the toughest endurance race in the world, and there were over 200 entries from around the globe, especially from Germany and other European countries. Over 210,000 fans filled up the course sides, enjoying B.B.Q in this summer event.

TEIN supported 2 Imprezas. One was #56 GC8 based on a world rally car with Tarmac parts made by Autosportif, who made Gr.A cars. The other was #87 GDB based on Gr. N Tarmac rally chassis, which was made by Mike Limmer (GB).
TEIN has been supporting GT-R SKYLINE and IMPREZA in Nurburgring 24hr race, and Autosportif requested TEIN to support them due to our experience and know-how. The dampers we used was Super Racing, which is sold as TEIN's regular lineup, and changed the valve especially for this race. Basically, our new technology, M.S.V valve was added to the 2-way damper unit used by Prova Racing Division back in 2005 Nurburgring 24-hr race.
TEIN has been expanding its business in Europe for 3 years now becoming more and more well known. In this event, we supported the teams with a well-equipped service truck at sight with two Japanese staffs.

The shakedown for #56 Impreza started on June 8th. They suffered from troubles in power steering pump and shift linkage, resulting in 94th place in the first round. The driver requested to adjust to the bumpiness in the rear, so we changed the springs and adjusted the ride height, which became highly satisfactory for him. #87 Impreza resulted in 78th place.
The final round got postponed nearly two hours due to heavy thunderstorm on the 9th. Despite the very wet condition, two Imprezas fully used the AWD system and kept good positions. The course dried out after a while, and just within an hour, #56 went up to 22nd place and #87 in 39th place.

The 430-horse power tuned up for #56 Impreza; however, caused engine trouble and he ended up retiring. On the other hand, #87 was closer to normal spec. Although he dropped to 198th after a few hours, he slowly improved his position.
In 3:54 am, the race got called off once due to deep mist and resumed after 6 hours. Although the occasional heavy rain shower, #87 fought well in this tough race moving up to 85th place. They were also ranked 2nd in SP4T class.
