C. Xiao Long Won 2nd in 2000cc class!
H. Qiao Hang fought hard to win 4th place in 1600cc class!

Third round of China Circuit Championship (CCC) was held from August 18-19th, 2007 at Zuhai Circuit. This course is a 'stop-and-go' circuit with right angled corners, and TEIN supported 6 machines in 2000cc class including C. Xiao Long driving Ford Focus. In 1600cc class, we had H. Qiao Hang (#20) and W. Xiao Feng (#21) from 778 Racing Team driving Kia Cerato, all challenging this tough circuit requiring highly technical skills.
The race week opened up in a rainy condition but cleared up for the preliminary on the 18th. The 18-year old driver, Xiao Long's time was 4th in 2000cc class. He also performed extremely well during the final round on the 19th, winning 2nd place. This was his very first victory with TEIN.
On the other hand, Qiao Hang and Xiao Feng in 1600cc class were both in good conditions, and Xiao Feng and Qiao Hang marked 5th and 6th place in the preliminary. In the final round, Xiao Feng suffered from engine troubles and went down to 8th place from 5th. Qiao Hang, however, has shown a constant performance and won 4th place!

Comments from TEIN engineer (TEIN R&D Section/Mr. Ryoh Takizawa)

"This Zuhai Circuit was similar to Twin Ring Motegi in Japan, which was a "stop-n-go" circuit, so we made a hard setting for the two machines in 1600cc class. As a result, the movement during braking became stable, but we need further consideration on the setting to match the tires. We also built special racing dampers for Ford Focus in 2000cc class. The results came out well from the pretest held 2 weeks prior to the race, and we got some good results during the race week, too. We will improve the stability of the machines especially at high-speeding corners in our future settings."
